1. What Nine Does

Nine is a photo-sharing app that lets you and up to nine close friends share photos through a 3×3 grid widget on your iPhone home screen. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

2. Data We Collect

• Account information: When you sign in with Apple, we receive your Apple user identifier and, if you choose to share it, your name. We do not receive your Apple ID email address unless you opt to share it.
• Photos: Photos you take and share through Nine are uploaded to our servers so your friends can see them in their grid and widget.
• Display name: The name you set in your profile, visible to your friends.
• Device tokens: We store push notification tokens to send you notifications when friends update their photos.
• Friend connections: We store which users are friends so we can display the correct photos in your grid.

3. How We Use Your Data

• Display your friends' photos in your grid and widget
• Send push notifications when friends share new photos
• Show your photo and name to your friends
• Process invite links so new friends can connect with you

We do not sell your data. We do not use your photos for advertising, training, or any purpose other than displaying them to your friends.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on Supabase infrastructure with row-level security enforced on all tables. Photos are stored in encrypted cloud storage. All network communication uses HTTPS. You can only access your own data and your friends' shared photos.

5. Data Sharing

Your photos and display name are visible only to users you have accepted as friends (maximum 9). We do not share your data with third parties for marketing or advertising. We may share data if required by law.

6. Your Choices

• Delete your account: You can delete your account at any time from Settings in the app. This permanently removes your profile, photos, friend connections, and all associated data.
• Remove friends: You can remove any friend from your grid at any time.
• Notifications: You can disable push notifications in iOS Settings.

7. Children

Nine is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, please contact us and we will delete it.

8. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you through the app. Continued use of Nine after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
